The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is pricier but offers a larger screen, more storage, higher RAM, and a stronger CPU and GPU, making it better for intensive engineering tasks and some gaming. However, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is more affordable, portable, and offers a higher resolution touchscreen with better color accuracy, making it more suitable for general use, media consumption, and on-the-go productivity. The Zenbook's larger size and weight compromise its portability, whereas the IdeaPad's hardware limits its performance in resource-intensive applications. Choose the ASUS for power and the Lenovo for portability and value. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is very good for general use, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 offers a more powerful AMD Ryzen CPU and double the RAM compared to the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, making it very good for multitasking and more demanding tasks. However, the Zenbook's larger screen, although not as high in resolution as the IdeaPad's, decreases its portability due to greater size and weight, and while it provides longer battery life, these features also make it less convenient for on-the-go use when compared to the smaller, lighter, and more portable IdeaPad with a sharper display.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro are both only fair for gaming and AI, though the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is somewhat better.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is better equipped for gaming and 3D applications because it has a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card and a standard screen refresh rate, which are crucial for performance and smooth visuals in intensive tasks. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has an integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics component and a higher screen refresh rate, making it suitable for less demanding gaming and 3D tasks but less capable when dealing with more graphically intensive software.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro for software development, and content creation, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro's higher resolution and brightness deliver sharper images and more comfortable viewing in various lighting conditions compared to the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17. When it comes to engineering and design, the IdeaPad’s wider color gamut coverage ensures more accurate color reproduction, essential for professional-grade design work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid motion and slower screen updates during fast-paced scenes.

"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
