The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is less expensive and offers more battery life, making it suitable for general use and extended work sessions away from power outlets. It's got a balanced performance score across general use, 3D/machine learning, and engineering tasks, which makes it versatile. However, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H, while more expensive, gives you significantly better performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering thanks to a more powerful GPU and CPU, though it sacrifices some battery life. Its high refresh rate display also makes it more suitable for intensive gaming and fast-motion scenarios. The Aorus 17H is slightly heavier and thicker, making the Zenbook Pro 17 the better option for portability. Choose the Aorus 17H if performance in high-demand tasks is a priority; otherwise, the Zenbook offers great value and versatility. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers superior gaming and 3D experiences primarily due to its Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU and a high refresh rate screen, which greatly outperform the Asus Zenbook Pro 17’s Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and lower refresh rate display. While screen quality in terms of pixel density and brightness is comparable, the high refresh rate of the Gigabyte enhances smooth visuals critical for fast-paced games and 3D applications.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 17H for software development, and content creation, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
When choosing between the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H, consider that the Zenbook's display may offer sufficient clarity and vibrance for daily tasks and professional work like engineering, but it falls short for gaming due to a lower refresh rate. The Aorus 17H, however, provides a balance, with a display that brightens and enhances everyday experiences and supports the color precision needed for design, but it too may not satisfy gamers seeking the smoothest visuals. Gamers typically prioritize fast refresh rates to reduce motion blur and ensure fluid gameplay, an area where neither laptop excels.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
