If you prioritize gaming or tasks like 3D rendering and machine learning, the Gigabyte Aorus 15X, with its more powerful GPU and higher resolution display, is a better option. However, it's heavier, which may be a concern if portability is crucial for you. The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 has a larger screen and is slightly lighter, making it more suitable for general use and some engineering tasks, with a longer battery life to boot. Both laptops are similarly priced and have ample storage, but the ASUS has more RAM, which could improve multitasking and engineering software performance. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
If you prioritize a vivid display and crisp image quality for everyday tasks like web browsing or document editing, the Gigabyte Aorus 15X, with its high resolution and brightness, will serve you well. For engineering and design professionals who need accurate color representation, both laptops offer quality screens, but the Asus ZenBook Pro 17 may fall slightly short in displaying the full range of colors in DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB spectrums compared to the Gigabyte. However, if you're into fast-paced gaming or work with 3D applications where smooth motion is crucial, the lower refresh rate on both laptops could be a drawback as they may not provide as fluid an experience as models specifically tailored for gaming.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the Gigabyte Aorus 15X compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
