The Gigabyte A5, with a lower midrange price and typically much lower expenses, might appeal to those who need a balance between gaming performance and budget, featuring decent graphics capabilities and a high-refresh display for fast-paced games. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 stands out for creative professionals and demanding users with its powerful processor and ample storage, although it comes with a higher price tag and potentially reduced portability due to its size and weight. Consider the Gigabyte A5 for cost-efficient gaming and the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 for high-end creative or engineering work that demands significant performance. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is very good for engineering and design, while the Gigabyte A5 is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is well-suited for engineering and design because of its powerful AMD Ryzen 9 processor, higher RAM capacity for multitasking, and its high-quality screen with broader color coverage, which is vital for accurate visual work. While the Gigabyte A5 also targets similar uses with a strong Nvidia RTX GPU suitable for complex graphics tasks and ample RAM, its lesser screen quality and smaller battery size may limit intensive work sessions, but it compensates with a higher refresh rate screen, favorable for fluid visuals.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
