The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X excels in high-resolution display quality and has a robust build, making it a great choice for creative professionals who need top-notch visuals and can handle a heavier, less portable laptop. Conversely, the Gigabyte A5 provides greater value for money with satisfactory performance for general use and gaming, but it has a less impressive display and build quality. The A5 also has a higher refresh rate, better for fast-paced gaming, while the ASUS offers better performance for engineering and creative applications that require high color accuracy and resolution. If top-tier performance and display for creative work are priorities and within your budget, go with the ASUS; if you're looking for a capable laptop that's more cost-effective and gaming-oriented, the Gigabyte A5 is a suitable choice. The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X is very good for general use, while the Gigabyte A5 is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X is considered very good for general use due to its high-quality OLED screen, more storage, and superior performance from its Intel i7 processor, but it has lower portability because it's heavier and slightly larger. Conversely, the Gigabyte A5, while also good for general use with a competent AMD Ryzen processor and sufficient RAM, has a lower-resolution screen and less storage but is lighter, making it more portable.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X is very good for engineering and design, while the Gigabyte A5 is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X offers superior performance for engineering and design due to its higher-end CPU, more RAM, and a vastly superior OLED screen with higher resolution and color accuracy, which are crucial for detail-oriented tasks. In contrast, the Gigabyte A5 provides a solid performance with a competent CPU and GPU combination, but its screen quality and lesser amount of storage space might not meet the demands of more intensive design work, though it comes with the advantage of being slightly more portable.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X has a better screen than the Gigabyte A5 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X offers higher resolution and brightness, making it excellent for general use as these features enhance visual clarity and user experience. For engineering and design purposes, this laptop's wider color gamut coverage ensures more accurate color reproduction, which is crucial for professionals in these fields. Conversely, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, which can hinder the smoothness of motion and responsiveness that is critical for these activities.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"The new Zenbook Pro 16X is more powerful, quieter and doesn't need to shy away from dedicated workstations and gamers. It is also comparatively compact, and our test device is the best Zenbook that we've reviewed so far. It seems equally suitable for content creators and gamers or anyone looking for a very powerful laptop that is still slim."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
