The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 offers a powerful combination of a Ryzen 7 processor and an RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, making it well-suited for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. It also features an OLED display, which provides excellent colors and contrast for creative work. However, it comes at a higher price and is less portable due to its weight.
On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is more budget-friendly and has a larger screen size, which could be preferable for productivity and general use. Its Ryzen 5 processor and integrated Vega 7 graphics are adequate for everyday tasks and light gaming but fall short for more demanding applications. The IdeaPad is also lighter, which improves its portability, but it too doesn't have a dedicated GPU and a lesser display quality compared to the ASUS.
In summary, choose the ASUS for high-performance needs and premium display quality but sacrifice some portability and pay more. Opt for the Lenovo for a more budget-conscious option with a larger screen, sufficient for general use, and easier to carry around, but with lower performance for heavy-duty tasks. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" are both only fair for gaming and AI, though the ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 is somewhat better.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 has a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, which is more suitable for gaming and 3D applications than the integrated Vega 7 graphics found in the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17", although both have similar screen refresh rates. The Zenbook's OLED screen and higher battery capacity also provide better screen quality and longer usage, factors that are beneficial for gaming and 3D tasks, but the IdeaPad's larger screen might appeal for increased workspace despite lower screen quality and battery life.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 is good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is only fair.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 is preferred for engineering and design due to its more powerful CPU and GPU, which are crucial for demanding tasks, and its superior screen quality with an OLED display for more precise colors and contrasts. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" has less RAM and a less capable integrated GPU, which may not handle intensive engineering applications as well, and its IPS screen, while large, lacks the color accuracy and contrast of the ASUS's OLED.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 has a high-resolution display and superior color accuracy, which makes it great for engineering and design work that requires precise color representation, but its lower refresh rate may not suit the fast-paced visuals needed in gaming and 3D applications. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" offers a decent resolution and sufficient brightness that make it suitable for everyday tasks and satisfactory for engineering and design, but like the ASUS, it falls short for gaming due to a lower refresh rate. Both laptops prioritize display qualities that benefit general computing and professional creative work, while not focusing on the high refresh rates preferred for gaming and 3D rendering.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 offers a strong CPU, chassis, and display. One of the most popular 15.6-inch prosumer or multimedia laptops out there is the Dell XPS 15. Thus, comparisons between it and the Asus Zenbook Pro 15 are inevitable. Asus has a couple of tricks up its sleeve that XPS users are still missing out on including 1080p OLED and an AMD Ryzen CPU which help separate the Zenbook Pro 15 from the XPS 15. It also integrates a numpad and a few more port options albeit at the cost of a larger chassis size."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
