The ASUS Zenbook Flip S13, being pricier, offers a touchscreen, a higher-resolution display, and is more portable, at 2.65 pounds. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is less expensive, has a larger screen size better for prolonged work, but it's heavier and lacks a touchscreen, weighing in at 4.49 pounds. Opt for the ASUS if you prioritize portability and touchscreen functionality, or choose the Lenovo for a larger display and a more budget-friendly option. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Flip S13 is good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is only fair.
The ASUS Zenbook Flip S13 is better suited for engineering and design due to its higher-resolution screen, more powerful CPU, double the RAM, and better GPU capabilities, which are essential for demanding software applications; whereas, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3, though fair for engineering, compensates its lower screen quality, lesser RAM, and less powerful integrated graphics with a larger screen and a full numeric keypad that may suit certain users better. Additionally, while the ASUS offers improved portability owing to its lighter weight and smaller size, making it easier to carry to different workspaces, the Lenovo's larger size and weight may make it less convenient for frequent transportation.

The ASUS Zenbook Flip S13 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook Flip S13 offers a high-resolution screen with vibrant colors and exceptional brightness, making it ideal for daily activities and precision tasks in areas like engineering and design that rely on accurate color representation. However, its refresh rate is not as high as gaming-specific laptops, making it less optimal for fast-paced games where smooth motion is crucial. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" also delivers adequate resolution and color accuracy for everyday use and professional design work, but like the ASUS, it falls short for gaming due to its lower refresh rate.

The ASUS Zenbook Flip S13 and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" are both good for general use.
The ASUS Zenbook Flip S13 is highly portable, offers superior screen quality with its high-resolution touchscreen, and strong performance thanks to its Intel CPU and ample RAM, balanced by a reasonable battery life, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" provides a large screen with decent quality and a solid AMD processor for everyday tasks, complemented by a more spacious keyboard layout and an emphasis on effective heat management, albeit with a tradeoff in portability due to its larger size and heavier weight. Both are considered good for general use, but the ASUS is more versatile due to its convertible form factor and the Lenovo offers a larger screen, which may be preferable for users who prioritize a bigger display and do not need to carry their laptop often.

How the ASUS Zenbook Flip S13 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The Asus Zenbook S 13 Flip is an ultra-sleek 2-in-1 convertible. A gorgeous OLED screen and lightweight magnesium chassis make this convertible a traveller’s dream. Its SSD isn’t fast, but it won’t hold you back in everyday use. Its battery life also isn’t class leading, but it’s hardly off the pace. Overall, the Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED holds its head high in the premium convertible category and is a smaller alternative to the Spectre x360 13.5 and the Yoga 9i Gen 7."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
