If you prioritize portability and a lower price, the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 offers good general use performance with a decent battery life, and its dual-screen feature could be especially useful for multitasking. On the other hand, the MSI Raider GE78, while pricier and less portable due to its larger size and heavier weight, delivers top-notch performance for 3D rendering, engineering tasks, and intensive gaming with its powerful processor and graphics card. The MSI also has superior build quality, a higher-quality keyboard, and better thermal management, but at the cost of reduced battery life. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE78 is very good for general use, while the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 offers moderate performance for general use due to its competent CPU and enough RAM for everyday tasks, but its lower screen quality and smaller size may affect viewing experiences even though it is lighter and easier to carry, which benefits portability. On the other hand, the MSI Raider GE78 provides a superior general-use experience with its high-end CPU and abundant RAM, coupled with a higher-quality screen and outstanding speaker and keyboard quality, though it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable.

The MSI Raider GE78 is best in class for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 is only fair.
The MSI Raider GE78 outperforms the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 for gaming and 3D tasks because it has a more powerful Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU and a higher screen refresh rate of up to 240Hz, compared to the integrated GPU and 60Hz screen on the Zenbook Duo 14. While the Raider GE78's CPU and screen quality are also superior, it's the GPU and refresh rate that are particularly crucial for a fluid and visually sophisticated gaming or 3D experience.

The MSI Raider GE78 has a better screen than the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 offers a high-resolution display and bright screen, which along with its panel type, provides clarity and comfort for general use and detailed work in engineering and design, but its standard refresh rate limits its potential for smooth 3D gaming experiences. The MSI Raider GE78 also features a high-resolution, bright display with excellent color accuracy that professionals need for engineering and design tasks, while its very good screen quality for general use ensures a crisp and vibrant viewing experience. However, both models lack the high refresh rates sought after by gamers and 3D artists, which can hinder the fluidity and immersion in fast-paced gaming and 3D modeling environments.

"The Asus ZenBook Duo's second screen is like the Apple Touch Bar, but better. Most would agree that having two screens instead of one can really boost productivity and the ZenBook Duo is no different in this regard. It's tough going back to just one screen after becoming accustomed to spacious dual-screen setups. For a laptop form factor, however, users will have to accept some compromises. Firstly, weight is the most obvious drawback as the system is several hundred grams heavier than a regular ZenBook 14. Additionally, colors on the second screen will not be as vivid as the main display."
"Performance-wise, the GE78 offers a significant boost over the GE77 for just slightly higher power consumption. You'll have to get the RTX 4080 or 4090 configurations to see the performance advantages, however, as the RTX 4070 is closer in performance to the older RTX 3080 Ti. In terms of design, some users might prefer the 16:9 minimalistic look of the older GE77 over the 16:10 retro-inspired GE78 and vice versa. We wouldn't call one better than the other in terms of aesthetics, but we'll give the edge to the GE78 for its stronger hinges and larger keys and clickpad."
