For a balance of performance and portability with a unique dual-screen design, the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 is a strong contender, offering a high-quality build, good keyboard, and excellent general use performance. However, it falls short in gaming and intensive engineering tasks due to its integrated GPU. Its secondary screen enhances multitasking, making it suitable for productivity-focused users who value versatility and aren't heavily into gaming or specialized engineering work.
On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 16i is a more robust choice for gaming and engineering tasks, thanks to its dedicated Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU and higher RAM capacity, which contribute to superior performance in these areas. It also has a larger, higher-resolution screen with a faster refresh rate, catering to users who need more visual real estate and smoother visuals. While it's less portable due to its size and weight, it offers better battery life and a more future-proof setup for intensive applications. If you prioritize performance over portability and don't need the dual-screen functionality, the Lenovo LOQ 16i would be the better choice. Give Feedback

How the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 and the Lenovo LOQ 16i compare to other laptops
"The Asus ZenBook Duo's second screen is like the Apple Touch Bar, but better. Most would agree that having two screens instead of one can really boost productivity and the ZenBook Duo is no different in this regard. It's tough going back to just one screen after becoming accustomed to spacious dual-screen setups. For a laptop form factor, however, users will have to accept some compromises. Firstly, weight is the most obvious drawback as the system is several hundred grams heavier than a regular ZenBook 14. Additionally, colors on the second screen will not be as vivid as the main display."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
