If you prioritize portability and a vivid display for general use, and are looking for a more wallet-friendly option, the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED with its lighter weight and higher display color accuracy could be the better choice for you; it’s also suitable for intensive gaming. On the other hand, if you need a laptop for more demanding tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering work, and don’t mind spending more, the MSI Stealth GS66 with its powerful processor, high-end GPU, and greater memory would be better suited to your needs, albeit with a bulkier build and shorter battery life. The MSI Stealth GS66 is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED is only fair.
The MSI Stealth GS66 offers better gaming and 3D performance primarily due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and a higher screen refresh rate of 360, compared to the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED which features an integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics card and a refresh rate of 120. Despite the ASUS having a higher-resolution OLED screen, for gaming, the MSI's dedicated GPU and ultra-high refresh rate provide smoother visuals and can handle more graphically intensive games and 3D tasks.

The MSI Stealth GS66 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED is good.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED, with its OLED screen and good color coverage, is suitable for engineering and design tasks, but the MSI Stealth GS66 offers a higher RAM capacity, a more powerful i7 processor, and a superior Nvidia RTX GPU, providing better performance for demanding tasks such as 3D modeling and simulation. While the Zenbook provides a good balance of portability and screen quality, the Stealth GS66 leans more towards performance at the expense of being less portable due to its larger size and increased weight.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED has a better screen than the MSI Stealth GS66 for general use, and engineering and design, while the MSI Stealth GS66 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED boasts an OLED panel with high resolution and brightness, delivering vibrant color and contrast for both general use and precision tasks in engineering and design, but its likely standard refresh rate hinders the smooth visuals desired for 3D applications. The MSI Stealth GS66, while also offering a high-quality display for everyday tasks and detailed work in engineering, may not match the color representation of the OLED in the ASUS for design jobs, and similarly falls short for gaming and 3D, lacking the high refresh rate that provides fluid motion. Choosing between the two depends on valuing color accuracy and visual appeal for productivity and creative work over gaming and 3D performance where motion smoothness is key.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"While one of the more budget-friendly configurations of the Asus Zenbook 14X OLED may make a compelling case as a top value pick, it’s difficult to be disappointed with the more expensive model we reviewed here. At its core, for all models, it’s a luxury-built laptop with extreme portability and a gorgeous OLED display. Our unit rocks with a snappy Core i9 processor for getting real work done, and the discrete GPU—even if it has a clear power ceiling—is a bonus for creative pros."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
