If your priority is affordability and portability, the ASUS Zenbook 14 stands out as a lightweight and less expensive option with good display quality. It's well-suited for general use, light productivity, and media consumption. However, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, with its higher price, offers significantly better performance for gaming, 3D work, and engineering applications, thanks to its powerful graphics card and processor. The tradeoff for the Lenovo's high performance is less portability due to a heavier build and typically shorter battery life compared to the more energy-efficient ASUS. Choose the ASUS for everyday tasks and mobility, or the Lenovo for intensive applications and gaming. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | August 2022
"Users who travel frequently and are looking for a portable laptop are in the right place with the Asus ZenBook 14. The sleek case is extremely light (1.2 kg) and surprisingly thin (1.5 cm). Outdoor use is also enjoyable thanks to the bright Full HD display, which is something that can rarely be said about laptops with TN or IPS panels. The excellent battery life complements this as well. Longer trips are no problem with the ZenBook 14. Another plus point is the high-performance Ryzen 7 5700U, which often leaves the Intel competition in the dust thanks to its large number of cores."

PCMag

Mark Knapp | July 2023
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
