The ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED is a compelling choice for those who prioritize portability, battery life, and a vibrant OLED screen with excellent color reproduction, making it ideal for general use and media consumption. Its lower midrange price point offers good value, and the laptop's performance is sufficient for everyday tasks and some light engineering work. However, it may not satisfy the needs of intensive gamers or those requiring high-end graphics performance due to its less powerful GPU.
On the other hand, the MSI Stealth GS66, while significantly more expensive, is tailored for users with demanding performance needs, such as gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning tasks. It boasts a high-performance CPU and a powerful RTX 3070 Ti GPU, ensuring top-tier performance in these areas. The laptop also features a robust build quality, a good selection of ports, and a fast refresh rate screen, which is beneficial for gaming. However, its battery life is shorter, and it's less portable due to its larger size and weight.
In summary, if you value a lightweight design, longer battery life, and a stunning display for general use and productivity, the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED is the way to go. But if you're looking for a powerhouse that can handle the most demanding tasks and provide an excellent gaming experience, the MSI Stealth GS66 is the better investment, despite its higher cost and bulkier design. How the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
