If you are looking for a laptop with a larger screen and a budget-friendly option, the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 is less expensive and may be sufficient for general use and light tasks. However, it has a basic processor, less memory, and storage compared to the MSI Modern 14. On the other hand, the MSI Modern 14, despite being more costly, offers significantly better performance for more demanding applications like engineering software and has a higher quality display, which is better for tasks like photo editing. It's also more portable due to its smaller size and lighter weight. If battery life is a concern, both models offer comparable usage times. The MSI Modern 14 offers a better overall balance for a wider range of tasks but at a higher price. Give Feedback

The MSI Modern 14 is only fair for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 15 has a weaker GPU and a less capable CPU which are critical for gaming and 3D tasks, while the MSI Modern 14 features a stronger CPU with integrated graphics that performs better for these tasks, even though both laptops have similar screen refresh rates which are on the lower end for gaming. Screen quality on the MSI Modern 14 is better, thanks to an IPS panel which is superior to the TN panel on the ASUS for viewing angles and color accuracy, adding to a more pleasant visual experience during gaming and 3D applications.

The MSI Modern 14 is only fair for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 15 is limited by its basic Intel Celeron processor, minimal RAM, and slower integrated graphics, which impact its performance in demanding engineering and design software, as well as its inferior TN screen which provides less color accuracy and viewing angles compared to the MSI Modern 14's higher-quality IPS display. The MSI Modern 14, with a more capable Ryzen processor, higher RAM, better integrated Vega graphics, and a superior screen that shows colors more accurately and consistently, makes it more suitable for such tasks, despite both laptops having modest battery life and similar portability.

The MSI Modern 14 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 may have a lower resolution and dimmer display compared to the MSI Modern 14, making text and images less sharp and vibrant. In engineering and design, the ASUS display likely covers less of the color gamuts necessary for accurate color work, while the MSI Modern 14 may have better but still limited coverage, affecting precision in color-intensive tasks. For gaming and 3D, the ASUS's poor refresh rate can lead to less fluid visuals, a drawback that is also true for the MSI Modern 14, albeit its better resolution and panel type may offer slightly better image quality.

"The Asus Vivobook Go 15 is a good option if you’re looking for one device to tackle a bunch of smaller problems. For simple school studies, portable evening entertainment or distractions, and getting household admin or light office workloads out of the way, it’s a great little package with respectable battery life, and a great contender for the advent of cloud gaming."
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
