The Gigabyte A5 is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 15's lower RAM and a less powerful Intel Celeron N4020 CPU contribute to its poor performance for general use, while its TN screen is less superior compared to the Gigabyte A5's IPS screen, affecting display quality. On the other hand, the Gigabyte A5 boasts a stronger AMD Ryzen 5 5600H CPU, significantly more RAM for better multitasking, and a high-quality screen, making it more suitable for a variety of tasks and offering good portability despite its lesser battery life.

The Gigabyte A5 is good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 15 falls short for engineering and design use because it has a low-power Intel Celeron processor, basic integrated graphics, and a lower-quality TN screen that doesn't offer accurate colors or viewing angles. In contrast, the Gigabyte A5 stands out with its high-performance AMD Ryzen processor, powerful Nvidia RTX graphics card, and superior IPS display, which together provide the necessary computational power and high-quality visuals required for demanding engineering and design tasks.

The Gigabyte A5 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Vivobook Go 15's dull colors and low brightness might make activities like browsing or watching videos less enjoyable; whereas the Gigabyte A5's higher resolution and brighter display offer a more vibrant and clearer experience for everyday tasks. When it comes to engineering and design work, the Vivobook Go 15 falls short in providing the wide color gamuts necessary for precise color work, while the Gigabyte A5's better color gamut support ensures more accurate color reproduction. However, both fall behind for Gaming and 3D tasks as they lack high refresh rates, though the Gigabyte A5 maintains an edge with its superior resolution and panel quality for slightly smoother and clearer visuals in less demanding gaming scenarios.

"The Asus Vivobook Go 15 is a good option if you’re looking for one device to tackle a bunch of smaller problems. For simple school studies, portable evening entertainment or distractions, and getting household admin or light office workloads out of the way, it’s a great little package with respectable battery life, and a great contender for the advent of cloud gaming."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
