The ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is a budget-friendly option that’s very portable due to its smaller size and lighter weight, making it suitable for daily tasks like browsing the web, using office applications, and streaming media. However, it has limited performance because of its basic processor and low memory and storage, and lower resolution screen which might not be suitable for intensive tasks. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 15X is considerably more expensive but offers high performance with its advanced processor and superior graphics card, ideal for 3D work, machine learning, gaming, and engineering software. It has a larger, higher-resolution screen, more memory and storage, but it’s also heavier and less easy to carry around. If portability and cost are your main concerns, the Vivobook is the way to go. If you need a laptop for high-performance tasks and are okay with a bigger investment and less portability, the Aorus 15X is better for you. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 12, with its less powerful Intel Celeron processor, 4GB of RAM, and lower-grade screen, is not optimal for general use when compared to the Gigabyte Aorus 15X, which offers a robust Intel i9 processor, 16GB of RAM for multitasking, and a high-quality display, thus providing a smoother and more responsive user experience. Additionally, while the Aorus 15X is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable, its superior performance, screen quality, and additional features like a backlit keyboard and better heat management far outweigh the portability advantage of the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 for most users.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 12, with its Intel Celeron processor, 4 GB of RAM, and basic Intel UHD Graphics is underpowered for engineering and design tasks, whereas the Gigabyte Aorus 15X, equipped with a high-end Intel i9 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and Nvidia RTX graphics, offers robust performance and superior screen quality for such demanding applications. Additionally, the Gigabyte’s IPS display with a higher resolution and refresh rate vastly outweighs the ASUS's TN panel, further enhancing its suitability for detailed engineering work, albeit with reduced portability and a heavier build.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When considering screen quality for general use, the Vivobook Go 12's display may fall short due to lower resolution and brightness, whereas the Gigabyte Aorus 15X offers a sharp, bright display that enhances the viewing experience. For engineering and design, the Aorus 15X again pulls ahead with better color coverage essential for accuracy in detailed work, whereas the Vivobook Go 12's color range likely doesn't meet the high standards required in these fields. For 3D and gaming, despite the Aorus's higher resolution and quality panel, its limited refresh rate could dampen the immersive and fluid experience gamers seek, which is less of a concern for the Vivobook Go 12 given its positioning away from these intents.

"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
