The ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is significantly less expensive and more portable due to its lighter weight and smaller size, making it suitable for everyday use and basic tasks like web browsing, document editing, and video streaming. However, its lower-resolution screen, less powerful processor, and minimal graphics capability mean it might struggle with more demanding applications. If you need better performance for gaming, 3D applications, or intensive multitasking, the Gigabyte Aero 5, with its high-resolution OLED display, powerful CPU, and dedicated graphics, will offer a more robust experience, but it comes with a higher price tag, more weight, and likely shorter battery life due to its high-performance components. The Gigabyte Aero 5 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 12, with its Intel Celeron N4020 processor, built-in Intel UHD Graphics 600, and standard screen quality, lacks the necessary resources for demanding engineering and design work, whereas the Gigabyte Aero 5, equipped with a high-performance Intel i7-12700H processor, powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU and a high-resolution OLED screen, is well-suited for such tasks. Additionally, the Gigabyte Aero 5's substantial RAM and superior screen quality further enhance its ability for complex processing and detailed visuals required in engineering and design, in contrast to the ASUS's limitations in these areas.

The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook Go 12's screen may not be ideal due to its lower resolution and brightness compared to the Gigabyte Aero 5, which offers a sharp, bright display suitable for a variety of tasks. Engineering and design professionals would favor the Gigabyte Aero 5's display because it likely covers a broader range of color gamuts, providing more accurate colors critical for detailed work. However, while the Gigabyte Aero 5 excels in color accuracy and resolution, its potential shortfall in refresh rate could make it less suited for Gaming and 3D applications where smoother motion is key, an area where a higher refresh rate would be beneficial.

"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
