The ASUS Vivobook 16 typically offers robust performance and a larger screen, making it suitable for tasks like video editing or design, where screen real estate and processing power are crucial. However, its larger size can make it less convenient for frequent travel. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro usually provides a balance of performance and portability, with a sleeker design and often better battery life, making it ideal for on-the-go use and everyday productivity tasks. Consider what is most important to you: performance and screen size or portability and battery life. If your priority is intensive tasks and you don't mind a heavier laptop, the ASUS may suit you better. If you move around a lot and prefer a lighter laptop with good battery life, the Lenovo might be the better option. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro's screen offers higher resolution and brightness, making text and images sharper and easier to view in various lighting conditions. Engineering and design tasks benefit from the IdeaPad's wider color gamut coverage, ensuring more accurate color representation for detailed work. However, both laptops have screens with lower refresh rates that aren't optimal for 3D applications where smoother motion and quicker screen updates are crucial for an immersive experience.

The ASUS Vivobook 16 and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Vivobook 16 has a less capable integrated Vega 8 GPU and standard 60Hz screen refresh rate, making it decent for gaming and 3D applications but not optimal. Similarly, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, with its integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and a higher screen refresh rate of 90Hz, provides a fair gaming and 3D experience, however, its GPU is still not designed for high-end gaming performance. Both laptops offer adequate CPU power and screen quality but prioritizing GPU and screen refresh rate as very important, neither are top-tier choices for gaming and 3D tasks.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
