The ASUS Vivobook 16 is somewhat less expensive and offers a balance of features suitable for general use, with a good battery capacity and a solid performance score for such tasks. It's also quite portable and has a reasonable battery life. However, the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i, while somewhat more expensive, provides a higher screen resolution and a significantly better performance for more intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering, thanks to its powerful CPU and GPU. It's less portable and has a shorter battery life but excels in build quality and has features tailored for intensive gaming. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 16 is only fair.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i outperforms the ASUS Vivobook 16 in gaming and 3D tasks due to its superior Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics card and a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz, which results in smoother visuals and better rendering capabilities, compared to the Vivobook's AMD Ryzen 7 7730U Vega 8 GPU and 60 Hz screen refresh rate. While both have capable processors and high-quality screens, the IdeaPad's GPU and higher refresh rate are particularly crucial for demanding graphics work.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i represents an impressive opening salvo for Meteor Lake in the ultraportable space against familiar foes from AMD and Apple. Not only does the Core Ultra 5 125H processor provide good performance across the board, but battery life remains a strong point against the Acer Swift Edge 16 with its AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor. It can’t quite match the endurance of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but the gap is shrinking."
