If you prioritize a larger, higher resolution screen, the ASUS Vivobook 16 could be more suitable for you, as its display is better for multitasking and clearer visuals. On the other hand, the HP Pavilion 15 is more budget-friendly and lighter, making it easier to carry around. For demanding tasks like 3D modeling or engineering software, the ASUS might perform better due to a more powerful processor and graphics. However, the HP Pavilion, with its less powerful components, should handle general use like web browsing and office applications well and offer a longer battery life. If portability and price are major concerns, go with the HP Pavilion 15; if you need better performance and display quality for intensive tasks and are willing to pay more, the ASUS Vivobook 16 is the better choice. Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."

TechRadar

Alex Cox | August 2022
"The HP Pavilion 15 carries a fair amount of power and a sharp display in its handsome slimline shell. It's not perfect, but it's a hard worker. This is wonderfully designed and totes a heck of a lot of desktop power, with the added benefit of a decent webcam and a full-sized keyboard. If you're getting down to business on a budget, it's a great fit."
