The ASUS Vivobook 16 generally costs less and offers a larger storage capacity than the Gigabyte A5. It features a larger screen with a higher resolution and a taller aspect ratio, which may be better for productivity. However, the Gigabyte A5 has a much stronger graphics card, which is favorable for gaming and graphics-intensive tasks. Battery life is slightly better on the ASUS, and it's also lighter, making it more portable. Both are suitable for gaming but for intense gaming or 3D tasks, the Gigabyte A5 has an edge. The ASUS may be preferred for general use due to its battery life and portability. Give Feedback

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
