The ASUS Vivobook 15 is less expensive, lighter, and has decent performance for general use; however, it has less storage, memory, and a lower-quality display than the MSI Prestige 15. The MSI Prestige 15 costs more, but offers a much better screen, gaming-grade graphics, more storage, and memory which is helpful for 3D or machine learning tasks and engineering software. Both have similar portability and screen sizes. If on a limited budget or primarily using for basic tasks, consider the ASUS. For more intensive use like video editing, gaming, or professional work, the MSI would be a better fit. Give Feedback

The MSI Prestige 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 15 has a screen that provides sufficient sharpness and brightness for tasks like browsing and document editing, but its color range and refresh rate may not satisfy professionals in engineering or avid gamers. The MSI Prestige 15's display boasts better color accuracy and wider color gamuts, which are crucial for tasks requiring precise color representation such as graphic design and engineering projects. However, neither laptop's screen has the high refresh rate preferred for smooth visuals in gaming or detailed 3D work, which can be a limitation for users with those specific needs.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers MSI Prestige 15 to be only fair for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook 15 has an Intel UHD Graphics GPU that can handle some gaming and 3D tasks, but isn't designed for high performance in these areas; it also has a standard refresh rate screen, which is adequate for casual gaming but not ideal for fast-paced action. Conversely, the MSI Prestige 15 comes with a more capable Nvidia GTX 1650 Max-Q GPU, providing better gaming and 3D performance, yet it shares the same standard screen refresh rate, meaning that while gaming visuals might be improved, the smoothness of motion may not be fully optimized.

How the ASUS Vivobook 15 and the MSI Prestige 15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"The MSI Prestige 15 offers a dazzling 4K image quality, and solid performance. The MSI Prestige 15 appears to consistently implement the guiding principle of throttling the solid and efficient hardware to such an extent that content creation succeeds perfectly. Performance-hungry tasks, on the other hand, are slowed down a little by the reduced power consumption. Conversely, this means that the case remains relatively cool and the dual fan subdued. The battery life also benefits somewhat. So the losses aren't really dramatic because full performance is still available for short bursts."
