The ASUS Vivobook 15 and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 each have their own advantages. The Vivobook 15 is typically less expensive, has a larger 15.6" screen, and comes with an Intel i3 processor, making it suitable for general use. However, its battery life is shorter. On the other hand, the IdeaPad 3 has an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, which provides better performance for both general use and more demanding tasks like 3D rendering or engineering, at a somewhat higher price. It also offers longer battery life and a more portable design due to its smaller 14" screen size. Both laptops have similar RAM and build quality, neither is ideal for intensive gaming, but the IdeaPad 3's white backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader add to its appeal. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for general use, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Asus Vivobook 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 have fair screen quality as they offer adequate resolution and brightness, making daily tasks like web browsing and document editing comfortable, but they may lack the higher resolution or superior panel technology found in more premium laptops. When considering engineering and design work, which often necessitates precise color representation, both laptops provide only fair screen quality since they typically have limited color gamut coverage, lacking the wide range of colors that professionals might require for accurate visual work. For 3D and gaming, the absence of high refresh rate displays means slower screen updates, and even though the resolution and panel type may be adequate for casual use, they don't meet the high performance standards needed for smooth and immersive visual experiences.

How the ASUS Vivobook 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" compare to other laptops
"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"The low-priced IdeaPad 3 14 delivers on core functionality. Lenovo's IdeaPad 3 14 meets all the basic requirements for an inexpensive office laptop. The matte IPS display is bright enough, the performance is high for the class, and the input devices are rock solid. In addition, the mostly quiet operation including the useful performance modes, cool surface temperatures, easy maintainability as well as expandable working and mass storage all contribute to the IdeaPad 3 14's value proposition."
