If you prioritize a higher storage capacity and better overall performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering software, the Lenovo Flex 5 14 would be more suitable, plus it offers a touchscreen and a longer battery life which could be handy for productivity and multimedia use. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook 15 is more budget-friendly and still offers decent general performance for everyday tasks but falls short in more intensive uses; it also has less storage and memory compared to the Lenovo. The ASUS has a larger screen, but it's not touch-enabled, and the lower price reflects its lower performance capabilities. If portability is a concern, both models are quite comparable, with the Lenovo being slightly lighter. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Flex 5 14 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the ASUS Vivobook 15 and Lenovo Flex 5 14 have screens with adequate resolution and brightness, but the panel quality may not be top-tier, affecting overall clarity and viewing angles. In the realm of engineering and design, although the displays are sharp enough for detailed work, the color accuracy and range might fall short for professionals who rely on precise color representation. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, the lack of a high refresh rate on both models means less fluid motion, and while the resolution and panel type are serviceable, they do not match the standards expected by avid gamers or professionals in animation and modeling.

The ASUS Vivobook 15 has a lower-end Intel integrated graphics and a standard 60Hz refresh rate screen, which makes it fair for gaming and 3D tasks but not optimal for high-performance requirements. Similarly, the Lenovo Flex 5 has an AMD integrated graphics with the same 60Hz screen refresh rate, which allows for decent performance in gaming and 3D applications but may not handle the most demanding tasks as well as laptops with dedicated GPUs and higher refresh rates.

How the ASUS Vivobook 15 and the Lenovo Flex 5 14 compare to other laptops
"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"The highlight of the latest IdeaPad Flex 5 14 is clearly its AMD CPU. The octa-core Ryzen 7 5700U is insanely fast even when compared to the best Tiger Lake Ultrabooks in the market or even Core H CPUs in many gaming laptops. It's a lot of raw processing power for what is supposed to be a budget 14-inch convertible. If your daily workloads can benefit from extra multi-thread CPU performance, then look no further than the inexpensive AMD-powered Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14. For regular on-the-road browsing or video streaming, however, a slimmer and lighter 10th gen Core Yoga, Spectre, or XPS would be a more balanced option."
