When deciding between the ASUS Vivobook 15 and the HP Spectre x360 14, consider that the ASUS usually offers solid performance for everyday tasks at a more affordable price, which makes it a good fit for general use and budget-conscious buyers. On the other hand, the HP Spectre x360, with its higher cost, typically provides premium features such as a more robust build quality, better display, and a 2-in-1 form factor with touch screen that can be useful for those who value versatility and are willing to pay more. The Spectre also tends to have a longer battery life, making it more suitable for users who are frequently on the move and need their device to last throughout the day. If performance in more demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming is crucial, ensure you compare the specific hardware configurations, as both the Vivobook and Spectre can come with a range of options that affect their capability in these areas. The HP Spectre x360 14 is only fair for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook 15 has a dedicated GPU which improves gaming and 3D performance, but its screen refresh rate may not be high enough for the smoothest visuals in fast-paced games. The HP Spectre x360 14 offers versatility with its high-quality screen and decent CPU performance, but it also lacks a high refresh rate and its integrated GPU isn't as powerful as a dedicated one, which may limit the detail and fluidity in graphics-intensive tasks.

"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"The numbers don’t lie — the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is a star, and a hell of a one at that. From performance to battery life, this machine is a dream. But why didn’t I give it a perfect score? Well, I wish the display performed better and that there were more ports to go around. If you’re itching for someone a little cheaper that offers a brighter display and significantly more battery life, I can only recommend the MacBook Pro 14 as a suitable substitute. Otherwise, the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is the perfect choice for those who want a reliable premium laptop."
