The ASUS Vivobook 15 is more budget-friendly, lightweight, and has a decent battery life, making it suitable for general usage and light tasks. However, if performance is crucial for you and you engage in activities like 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, the Gigabyte Aero 5 would be the better choice. It comes with a much more powerful processor, superior graphics capabilities, and a high-quality OLED screen which is great for content creation and entertainment. Keep in mind, the Aero 5 is heavier and likely more expensive, but offers significantly better performance for demanding applications. "The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."

"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
