The ASUS Vivobook 15 is more budget-friendly and offers good portability, which makes it suitable for general use, with a lighter weight and longer battery life. However, it may be limited in performance due to its basic processor and integrated graphics, which aren't suited for intensive 3D tasks, machine learning, or gaming. On the other hand, the Gigabyte A7, while more expensive, is equipped with a powerful processor and dedicated high-end graphics, making it excellent for engineering, machine learning, 3D rendering, and gaming, but it is heavier and has shorter battery life, reducing its portability. Both laptops have good screen sizes and quality suitable for everyday tasks and media consumption. If you prioritize high-end performance and can accommodate less portability, the Gigabyte A7 is the better choice, whereas if you're after affordability and mobility for regular use, the ASUS Vivobook 15 would be more appropriate. The Gigabyte A7 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 15's screen offers sufficient resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and some engineering applications, but it lacks the wide color gamut that professionals require for accurate color work. The Gigabyte A7 provides not only a bright and clear display for daily activities and detailed engineering designs but also covers a broader range of colors, appealing to those in design fields. However, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D applications due to lower refresh rates, which can result in less fluid motion and slower response times compared to specialized gaming screens.

"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"In terms of looks, the Gigabyte A7 X1 is certainly not a trendy, slim, and ultra-mobile gaming laptop. But it does what it's supposed to do, namely bringing games smoothly onto the screen, very well. Both the processor and the GeForce RTX 3070 are able to unleash their performance without restrictions thanks to the well-ventilated case. The Gigabyte A7 X1 brings modern games smoothly onto the screen and offers excellent maintenance options."
