The Eluktronics RP-15 is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is only fair.
The Eluktronics RP-15 is better for general use because it has a more powerful CPU, double the RAM, and a higher resolution screen which contributes to its superior screen quality, although it is less portable and heavier than the ASUS Vivobook 15. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook 15 offers modest general use capability with an adequate CPU and RAM for basic tasks, enhanced by its lighter weight and good portability, but its screen quality and performance don't match the Eluktronics RP-15, and it has a smaller battery making its battery life shorter.

The Eluktronics RP-15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Vivobook's screen may not be as sharp or vibrant due to its resolution and brightness levels, while the Eluktronics RP-15 offers a crisper and brighter display, enhancing your everyday browsing and video watching experience. When it comes to engineering and design, the Eluktronics RP-15's display provides a wider range of colors, crucial for accurately viewing and editing work, whereas the Vivobook's color representation is less precise. Gamers and those using 3D applications may find both laptops lacking due to their poor refresh rates, which means less fluid motion and slower response times during fast-paced scenes.

"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"To conclude, I’m genuinely impressed with Eluktronics and what they have been able to deliver with the RP-15. You see this is all about maximizing performance, cooling, and giving users the most flexible I/O, and then wrapping it into a chassis that doesn’t feel super cheap. Let’s also not forget the price point, I think they have really nailed it in that department."
