The ASUS Vivobook 14 is more budget-friendly and suitable for general use with moderate battery life, whereas the XPG Xenia 14 is pricier but offers double the storage, more RAM, and a significantly better battery life, making it a stronger choice for intensive tasks. The Xenia 14 also has a slightly higher screen resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, which can be preferable for productivity and reading. Although it is older, the Xenia is lighter, making it more portable. Both feature backlit keyboards and integrated graphics suitable for casual gaming, but neither is designed for intensive gaming. If portability, higher performance, and longer battery life are important and within budget, the XPG Xenia 14 stands out; otherwise, for lighter use and to save money, the ASUS Vivobook 14 may be sufficient. The XPG Xenia 14 and ASUS Vivobook 14 are both only fair for engineering and design, though the XPG Xenia 14 is somewhat better.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 offers less power and memory with an Intel i5-1235U processor, 8GB of RAM compared to the XPG Xenia 14's slightly older but still capable Intel i5-1135G7 and 16GB of RAM, impacting performance in demanding engineering and design software. In contrast, the XPG Xenia has a higher resolution screen with better color coverage, which is critical for design accuracy, making it more suitable for engineering and design work than the ASUS.

The XPG Xenia 14 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook 14 offers adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks, but it may not impress with its modest panel quality. The XPG Xenia 14 provides a crisper and more luminous display, enhancing your viewing experience, particularly with content which benefits from higher resolution. Both laptops, however, have screens that may not satisfy gamers or 3D designers seeking fluid motion and intricate details due to lower refresh rates and lackluster color gamut coverage.

The XPG Xenia 14 and ASUS Vivobook 14 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 and XPG Xenia 14 are both fair for gaming and 3D tasks because they feature integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, which can handle light gaming and 3D applications but are not as powerful as dedicated gaming GPUs. While both have similar 60Hz refresh rates that provide smooth visuals for everyday tasks, they do not match the higher refresh rates preferred for competitive gaming; the XPG Xenia 14 stands out slightly with better screen quality and a more capable CPU, enhancing overall performance.

How the ASUS Vivobook 14 and the XPG Xenia 14 compare to other laptops
"The Xenia 14 is a top 14-inch laptop under 1 kg. ADATA isn't exactly known for its laptops and so we weren't expecting much from its first 14-inch Ultrabook. With that said, we're pleasantly surprised by how well the Xenia 14 looks and performs. Not only is it incredibly light, but it has a color accurate 16:10 display, high CPU and GPU performance, easy RAM and SSD serviceability, plenty of port options including Thunderbolt 4, and long battery life. It packs a lot of punch and features considering the size and weight to be better than even the LG Gram series."
