If you prioritize high performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering, and you are not too concerned with cost, the MSI Stealth GS77 is a strong option, but it's heavier and less portable. Conversely, the ASUS Vivobook 14 is budget-friendly, offers decent general performance, and is more portable, making it well-suited for everyday use and light productivity on the go, with a longer battery life but lower capabilities for intensive graphics or engineering tasks. Choose the MSI if power and high specs are critical; opt for the ASUS for casual use and easier carrying. Give Feedback

The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook 14 is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 offers decent performance for general use with its moderate CPU and RAM, along with a standard screen quality, but it does benefit from better portability and longer battery life. The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 14 is only fair.
The MSI Stealth GS77 surpasses the ASUS Vivobook 14 in engineering and design uses, mainly because it has a more powerful CPU, significantly more RAM, and a superior GPU, all of which contribute to better performance in computing-intensive tasks. Additionally, while the MSI has a higher-quality screen, showcasing greater color accuracy and brightness, these advantages come at the cost of less portability due to its larger size and heavier weight compared to the more travel-friendly ASUS Vivobook 14.

The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 14's screen is adequate for day-to-day tasks due to its resolution and brightness, but for engineering and design, the limited color gamut means it doesn't display colors as accurately as one might require. The MSI Stealth GS77 offers higher resolution and brightness, providing a sharper and more vivid experience for both general use and precise work in engineering and design, with a wide color gamut ensuring better color accuracy. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite their resolutions and panel types being sufficient, both laptops' screens fall short because of lower refresh rates, which could lead to less fluid motion and slower response times in fast-paced scenarios.

"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
