The ASUS Vivobook 14 offers a more powerful i5 processor and better graphics, making it suitable for more intensive tasks, but it comes at a somewhat higher price point and has a slightly smaller 14-inch screen. On the other hand, the Vivobook 15 has a larger 15.6-inch display and a number pad, which might be preferred for productivity, and it's less expensive, but it houses a less powerful i3 processor and basic graphics suitable for general use. Both models have identical battery capacity, RAM, and non-touch IPS displays at full HD resolution. The Vivobook 14 is lighter and thus more portable, while the Vivobook 15's larger screen means it's a bit heavier. Give Feedback

The ASUS Vivobook 14 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 and 15 have screens that provide sufficient resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and browsing, making them suitable for general use. However, their color gamut coverage may not meet the needs of professionals in engineering and design, where precise color representation is crucial. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rates of these models can lead to less fluid visuals, which is less than ideal for fast-paced or visually demanding content.

The ASUS Vivobook 14 and ASUS Vivobook 15 are both only fair for general use.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 is deemed fair for general use largely because its Intel i5 CPU and 8GB of RAM provide moderate performance, but it might be limited by its average screen quality and battery life, which are crucial for everyday tasks. Conversely, the ASUS Vivobook 15 also falls into the fair category for general use, due to its less powerful Intel i3 processor and same amount of RAM, making it adequate for basic tasks, but it shares similar constraints in screen quality and battery life.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers ASUS Vivobook 14 to be only fair for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook 14's fair performance in gaming and 3D is due to its integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU which is better suited for less demanding tasks; however, its 60Hz screen refresh rate is not ideal for high-intensity gaming that benefits from faster refresh rates. Similarly, the ASUS Vivobook 15 is also fair for gaming and 3D purposes, as it uses the weaker Intel UHD Graphics integrated GPU and shares the same limitation of a 60Hz screen refresh rate, making both laptops more apt for casual gaming and less intensive 3D applications.

The ASUS Vivobook 14 and ASUS Vivobook 15 are both only fair for engineering and design.
The ASUS Vivobook 14, with a slightly more powerful CPU and graphics integrated in the i5 processor, is slightly better suited for engineering and design tasks compared to the ASUS Vivobook 15 which has an i3 processor with less powerful UHD graphics. However, both have comparable RAM and IPS screens with decent resolution, while the Vivobook 14 offers slightly higher portability due to its smaller size and lower weight, but both may be limited in handling very intensive tasks due to their fair screen quality and less capable GPUs.

How the ASUS Vivobook 14 and the ASUS Vivobook 15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
