The ASUS TUF Gaming A17 offers a larger screen which is great for immersive gaming and multitasking, but this also makes it less portable. Both the ASUS and Gigabyte Aorus 15X provide similar high-end gaming performance with powerful CPUs and GPUs, and both have sufficient storage and memory for demanding tasks. The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a higher-resolution display which is better for sharp visuals in gaming and engineering, along with a faster refresh rate beneficial for fast-paced games. However, the Aorus 15X has a slightly shorter battery life. If portability and high-resolution are priorities, the Aorus 15X is a better fit, while the ASUS is optimal for those who prefer a larger display and longer battery life. Both have backlit keyboards and multiple ports for peripherals but don't count on them if top-notch battery life is crucial for your use case. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, a laptop with a brighter, higher resolution display and a better panel type, like IPS, is preferred, hence the Gigabyte's very good score, compared to the ASUS which is adequate but not excelling in these aspects. In engineering and design, accurate color reproduction is critical, so the Gigabyte scores higher due to its wider color gamut coverage, whereas the ASUS is still serviceable for less color-sensitive tasks. However, for gaming and 3D applications, a high refresh rate matters most for smooth motion, and both laptops fall short in this area, leading to their lower assessment for these specific uses.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 and the Gigabyte Aorus 15X compare to other laptops
"There is one big question that needs an answer. Is the TUF Gaming A17 FA707 a better purchase than the ROG Strix G17 G713R (2022)? Well, it depends. Undoubtedly, the Strix is the more premium product. Arguably the biggest advantage it has over its TUF fellow is in regards to the display. ASUS TUF Gaming A17 A707’s IPS panel has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a very good contrast ratio."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
