The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is a better choice for intense gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning tasks, and engineering software due to its more powerful processor, higher RAM, and stronger dedicated graphics card. It also has a larger screen and higher refresh rate but is heavier and has a shorter battery life. The HP Envy x360, being more affordable, offers a good balance for general use with its touch-enabled display and portability, but it might struggle with more demanding applications given its lesser processing power, RAM, and integrated graphics. Consider the ASUS for performance-intensive tasks and the HP for everyday activities and if cost and portability are priorities. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 offers a good balance of resolution and brightness, making it suitable for daily tasks and detailed engineering work, but its limited refresh rate hampers its performance for gaming and 3D applications. In contrast, the HP Envy x360 15" provides adequate resolution and brightness for everyday activities and some design software, but like the ASUS, it falls short for gaming due to a less than ideal refresh rate. For both engineering and design uses, neither laptop excels in color accuracy which is imperative for high-end graphics work, making them less optimal for professionals in these fields.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 and the HP Envy x360 15" compare to other laptops
"The A16 makes an excellent case against more expensive laptops like the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 and the MSI Katana GF76, especially if you’re into 1080p gaming. However, although its affordable, it doesn’t skimp on performance or a robust chassis. But for me, the biggest factor that sets it apart from these options is its incredible battery life. In my time reviewing laptops, I can’t remember when I last saw a gaming laptop lasted 11 and a half hours on a single charge, which makes the A16, in my book, truly outstanding."
"Despite its good looks, stellar webcam and comfortable keyboard, the Envy x360 15 is hard to recommend because of its dim, 16:9 display. If the display isn't an issue for you, just be sure to wait for a good sale price. Otherwise, a more modern two-in-one with a 16:10 display such as the Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1 or Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 provides a larger workspace without adding much to the size and weight of the system."
