The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is less expensive and offers features suitable for gaming on a budget, such as a good screen and decent battery life. However, its performance is typically a step below higher-end options. The Gigabyte Aorus 7 may cost you more, but it comes with an upgraded graphics card, which means better performance for intensive gaming, 3D work, and potentially some machine learning tasks. It also has a larger screen with a higher refresh rate, which is ideal for immersive gaming experiences. Keep in mind the Aorus 7 is heavier and may not be as convenient to carry around as the ASUS TUF Gaming A16. In summary, the ASUS provides affordability and portability, while the Gigabyte offers superior performance and a larger, faster display but at a higher price point and with less portability. The Gigabyte Aorus 7 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 likely delivers a bright, high-resolution display suitable for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work, but its low refresh rate hampers the gaming experience. How the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 and the Gigabyte Aorus 7 compare to other laptops
"The A16 makes an excellent case against more expensive laptops like the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 and the MSI Katana GF76, especially if you’re into 1080p gaming. However, although its affordable, it doesn’t skimp on performance or a robust chassis. But for me, the biggest factor that sets it apart from these options is its incredible battery life. In my time reviewing laptops, I can’t remember when I last saw a gaming laptop lasted 11 and a half hours on a single charge, which makes the A16, in my book, truly outstanding."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
