The Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 X3D is a top-tier gaming and engineering laptop with a powerful Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU and AMD Ryzen 9 processor, offering exceptional performance for demanding tasks and intensive gaming. Its high refresh rate screen is ideal for fast-paced action, though it's less portable due to its size and weight. In contrast, the LG Gram 16 is a lightweight and highly portable laptop with a long battery life, making it excellent for general use and productivity on the move. It has a high-resolution display with accurate color reproduction, suitable for everyday tasks and some light gaming or photo editing, but it won't match the Asus's performance for heavy-duty applications or high-end gaming. If portability and all-day use are your priorities, the LG Gram 16 is the way to go, but for the best performance in gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering tasks, the Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 X3D is the superior choice, despite its higher price and bulkier design. NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | January 2023
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
