The Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 X3D is a top-tier gaming laptop with exceptional performance for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning, thanks to its powerful AMD Ryzen 9 processor and Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics. Its large 17.3-inch display with a high refresh rate and resolution is ideal for immersive gaming experiences. However, its size and weight make it less portable, and it has a shorter battery life, which might not be ideal if you need to work on the go. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" offers a balance between performance and portability. It's equipped with a capable AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics, making it suitable for general use and moderate gaming or creative work. Its slim design, longer battery life, and lighter weight make it more convenient for traveling or using in different locations throughout the day. The display, while smaller at 16 inches, still boasts a high resolution and refresh rate, ensuring a crisp and smooth visual experience. If you prioritize raw power and a larger screen for stationary use, such as for high-end gaming or demanding engineering tasks, the Asus is the way to go. However, if you value portability and need a laptop that can last through a day of meetings or classes, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is the better choice, offering a more compact and efficient design without sacrificing too much performance. NotebookCheck

Benjamin Herzig | November 2022
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
