The Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 X3D is a top-tier gaming laptop with exceptional performance for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks, thanks to its powerful Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU and AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D processor. It also offers a high refresh rate screen, making it suitable for fast-paced gaming. However, its large size, weight, and shorter battery life make it less portable.
In contrast, the Gigabyte Aero 5 is more affordable and portable, with a longer battery life and a stunning OLED display that's great for general use and content creation, offering superior color accuracy and contrast. Its performance is still strong with an Intel i7-12700H and Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti, but it won't match the Asus for intensive tasks like high-end gaming or engineering work.
If you prioritize ultimate performance and gaming experience over portability and battery life, the Asus is the way to go. However, if you need a balance of performance, portability, and a superior display for content creation or general use, the Gigabyte Aero 5 is the better choice. Give Feedback

How the Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 X3D and the Gigabyte Aero 5 compare to other laptops
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
