The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 is a high-end device suitable for gaming and performance-intensive tasks such as 3D rendering and engineering, with a powerful GPU and a high refresh rate display, but it comes at a premium price and is heavier which affects portability. On the other hand, the LG Gram 16 is much lighter and has a longer battery life, making it very portable and great for general use. It's more affordable, though it lacks the graphical power for heavy gaming or resource-intensive professional applications, and it doesn't support high refresh rates for smooth motion. It's important to choose based on whether portability and price or performance for demanding applications are the priority. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 is very good for gaming and AI, while the LG Gram 16 is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 delivers high gaming and 3D performance due to its powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and very high screen refresh rate, which are ideal for fast-paced gaming visuals. In contrast, the LG Gram 16 offers fair performance with its integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and standard refresh rate, catering more to everyday tasks and light gaming rather than intensive 3D applications.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 has a better screen than the LG Gram 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and content creation, while the LG Gram 16 has a better screen for content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 has a high-resolution display with vibrant colors, beneficial for precise engineering and design tasks requiring accuracy but falls short for gaming due to a lower refresh rate which can make fast-paced graphics less smooth. The LG Gram 16 offers a sharp and bright screen favorable for daily tasks and detailed design work, yet like the ASUS, it doesn't excel in 3D gaming where a higher refresh rate is critical for fluid motion. Both laptops have displays with color gamuts that satisfy general and professional use, but gamers might find these screens less appealing when quick visual feedback is essential.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 laptop review: liquid metal 7 nm AMD Zen 3 is stunning. The raw performance increase is absolutely bonkers if you're upgrading from a laptop on Coffee Lake-H or older. The 45 W Ryzen 9 5900HX is neck-to-neck with the thicker, heavier, and hotter Schenker Ultra 17 running on a desktop-class Core i9-11900K despite their wide TDP differences. The performance-per-watt advantages can make Intel Rocket Lake feel like a last generation platform at times. As for the chassis itself, it's a huge light show with RGB LEDs on almost all sides of the system."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
