If you prioritize gaming or tasks that require strong graphics performance like 3D rendering or engineering simulations, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 is equipped with a powerful GPU and CPU that excel in these areas. However, this laptop is heavier and less portable; it's also more expensive. On the other hand, the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) is more affordable, easier to carry around due to its lightweight design, and has a higher-resolution screen, which is great for general use and media consumption. Its performance is adequate for everyday tasks but not ideal for intensive gaming or heavy computational workloads. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 and the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) compare to other laptops
"Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 laptop review: liquid metal 7 nm AMD Zen 3 is stunning. The raw performance increase is absolutely bonkers if you're upgrading from a laptop on Coffee Lake-H or older. The 45 W Ryzen 9 5900HX is neck-to-neck with the thicker, heavier, and hotter Schenker Ultra 17 running on a desktop-class Core i9-11900K despite their wide TDP differences. The performance-per-watt advantages can make Intel Rocket Lake feel like a last generation platform at times. As for the chassis itself, it's a huge light show with RGB LEDs on almost all sides of the system."
"If you’re thinking of investing in your first Framework, now is the time. The kinks and rough edges have all been smoothed out and this is a very nice machine with a bright, upgradable future. The only reason I can think of to wait is the AMD model, which I’ll be sure to test as soon as I can get my hands on one."
