The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is a powerhouse for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks, thanks to its high-performance Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU and Intel i9 processor. It's built for those who need top-tier performance and are willing to compromise on portability due to its heavier weight and bulkier design. The screen's 300 nits of brightness and 141 PPI density are suitable for fast-motion content and engineering tasks, though the color accuracy is not as high as some competitors. The laptop's robust cooling system and high-quality keyboard are designed with gamers in mind, but expect a shorter battery life compared to more general-use laptops. In contrast, the Microsoft Surface Laptop 6 13.5" is tailored for general business use, with a midrange price that's often more affordable. Its Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and Intel Arc GPU offer solid performance for everyday tasks, and the high-resolution touchscreen with a 3:2 aspect ratio is excellent for productivity and content consumption. The Surface Laptop is highly portable, with a slim and lightweight design, and boasts exceptional battery life. While it's not designed for intensive gaming or heavy computational tasks, it excels in color accuracy and has a premium build quality, making it a great choice for professionals who prioritize portability, battery life, and a high-quality display for general use. NotebookCheck

Vaidyanathan Subramaniam | May 2022
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
