The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is generally less expensive, slightly lighter, and offers higher refresh rates for fast-paced gaming. It also has a smaller screen if you prefer a more compact size. In contrast, the MSI Stealth GS77 is slightly more expensive, has more RAM for demanding tasks, a larger and higher-resolution screen which may be better for productivity and entertainment, and a slim design. Both feature similar high-end CPUs and GPUs, making them suitable for gaming and intensive tasks. Consider the ASUS if you prioritize a lower price and high refresh rates, and the MSI if you want more screen real estate and a sleek build. Give Feedback

The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and MSI Stealth GS77 both have high-resolution displays and adequate brightness, ensuring crisp and clear visuals needed for general use, with the MSI excelling slightly due to superior panel quality. Both are equipped with wide color gamuts, appealing to engineering and design professionals who require accurate color representation for their work. However, the poor screen quality for gaming and 3D on both models is likely due to lower refresh rates, which are crucial for smooth visuals in these fast-paced environments, despite their adequate resolution and panel type.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the MSI Stealth GS77 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
