If you prioritize a larger, higher-resolution screen and better overall build quality, including a more comfortable keyboard and superior speakers, the MSI Raider GE77Hx is the better option. However, it is heavier and less portable than the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15, which offers a higher refresh rate screen for smoother motion, making it potentially better for fast-paced games. Both have similar processing power and graphics capabilities, making them both suitable for intensive tasks and gaming. The ASUS may be preferable if you prefer something lighter and more agile, while the MSI is advantageous for its premium features and larger display. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE77Hx has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
When looking for a laptop for general use, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15's high resolution and brightness offer a sharp and vivid display, making it easy on the eyes during everyday tasks. However, for engineering and design professionals, the MSI Raider GE77Hx steps ahead with its superior color accuracy and wider color gamuts, ensuring that the work produced is color-true and detailed. On the other hand, for gaming and 3D rendering, neither of these laptops is ideal due to their lower refresh rates, which can affect the smoothness and responsiveness during fast-paced scenes or intensive graphical work.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the MSI Raider GE77Hx compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The MSI Raider GE77 offers a lot of power for a lot of money. The main components consist of a Core i9-12900HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP, 16 GB VRAM), and 64 GB of RAM, which makes for a high overall performance level. The GeForce GPU in particular scores some of the highest scores we have seen from this chip. Both the CPU and the GPU are able to run at continuously high clock speeds. The relatively high heat and noise emissions match our expectations for this device class. With approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours, the battery life is good for a powerful 4K laptop."
