The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is a more budget-friendly option with a smaller screen, making it more portable, and still offers high gaming performance, suitable for general use and engineering tasks. On the other hand, the MSI Raider GE76 is pricier but provides a larger screen, superior performance for 3D and machine learning, higher-resolution display, and potentially better battery life. It's also equipped with more RAM, which is advantageous for intensive multitasking and professional-grade applications. If budget is a concern and you prioritize portability, the ASUS might be the right choice. However, if you require top-tier performance and a larger display for detailed work and have a higher budget, the MSI would be the better option. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE76 has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the ASUS and MSI have high-resolution displays with adequate brightness, making text and images crisp and clear; however, the MSI has an edge with its superior brightness and sharper image quality. When it comes to engineering and design, both laptops have screens that offer wide color gamuts, ensuring accurate color representation, but the MSI once again stands out with its slightly broader color coverage which is critical for professional color work. For gaming and 3D applications, the poorer screen quality on both laptops is due to their lesser refresh rates, which can result in less smooth visuals during fast-paced scenes, even though they have decent resolutions and panel types.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the MSI Raider GE76 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The MSI Raider GE76: with Alder Lake and RTX 3080 Ti to gaming heaven. Yes, MSI could improve some aspects (like the quality of the webcam), but the manufacturer offers a very convincing and balanced overall package. The biggest advantage is definitely the immense performance potential. The combination of Core i9-12900HK, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and two NVMe SSDs offers a lot of performance for the next couple of years and plenty of power for 3D applications. Most titles would run smoothly on an external 4K screen no matter the quality preset. We came away impressed with the integrated 360 Hz panel's fast response times and good color accuracy."
