If price is a major consideration and you need a laptop for everyday tasks, the Maypug 15" might be a suitable choice, offering necessary functionality without a high cost. For more demanding applications like gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is designed with high performance in mind and would be the better option, though it comes at a higher price. The ASUS is likely to have a shorter battery life due to its powerful components and may also be less portable than the Maypug due to its typically larger and heavier gaming-focused design. The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is good for general use, while the Maypug 15" Laptop is poor.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is a better option for general use with its powerful i9 processor, ample 16GB of RAM, and high-quality screen, while the Maypug 15" Laptop's weaker Celeron processor, lower 8GB of RAM, and less impressive screen hold it back. Additionally, the ASUS offers superior gaming capability thanks to its dedicated Nvidia GPU, but it is less portable and has a shorter battery life compared to the lighter and longer-lasting Maypug.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Maypug 15" Laptop is poor.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 offers a high-end Intel i9 processor, 16GB RAM, and an Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU, paired with a high-quality screen, making it excellent for demanding engineering and design tasks. Conversely, the Maypug 15" Laptop's lower-tier Intel Celeron CPU, 8GB RAM, and basic integrated graphics, along with an inferior screen, render it less suitable for such intensive use.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the Maypug 15" Laptop for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS provides clear visuals and bright imagery due to its higher resolution and panel type, while the Maypug has a dimmer and less sharp display. Engineering and design tasks benefit from the ASUS's wide color gamuts, ensuring accurate color reproduction, a feature that the Maypug lacks, compromising visual precision in this field. In gaming and 3D applications, however, the ASUS falls short with a lower refresh rate, resulting in less fluid motion compared to what gaming-optimized screens offer, regardless of its resolution and color accuracy.

"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
