The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is more expensive and offers higher performance capabilities, particularly for 3D applications, machine learning, gaming, and engineering tasks due to its better GPU and powerful processor. However, it is heavier, thicker, and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. In contrast, the LG Gram 16 is more affordable, significantly lighter, and offers a longer battery life, enhancing its portability; it has a better screen resolution and aspect ratio but less storage capacity and a less powerful processor and GPU, not ideal for intensive tasks but well-suited for general use and multitasking. How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
