The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is more expensive and offers high performance for 3D, machine learning, and engineering tasks, but with less battery life and heavier weight, making it less portable. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i is less costly, slightly lighter and has a longer battery life, which improves portability, but features a lower-tier processor and graphics card, meaning slightly lower performance in demanding tasks. The Lenovo has a higher resolution and aspect ratio display, perhaps better for multitasking and media, while the ASUS excels in fast-motion gaming with a higher refresh rate display. Choose the ASUS if peak performance and gaming are your priority, or the Lenovo for better portability and value. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."
