The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is more expensive and offers high performance for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning, with a very high refresh rate and good color range on its smaller screen. It is less portable due to its weight. The Lenovo Legion 5 17" is cheaper and still capable of gaming and engineering tasks, with a larger screen and decent performance, but has a lower refresh rate and battery life. Choose the ASUS if performance and gaming are top priorities, and the Legion for a larger screen and savings. Both have a 16GB RAM and a similar color range. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Lenovo Legion 5 17" compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 17 is a current-gen 17-inch gaming laptop and equipped with the latest AMD CPU and a powerful GPU, that manages to reach its full potential. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600H is a very good choice for this laptop and able to maintain its performance level for long periods of time. Our test model only falls behind consistently in a direct comparison with its competitors that are often equipped with eight cores and 16 threads. Despite this, the Legion 5 17 leaves an excellent impression and is almost able to keep up with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 mobile GPU in synthetic benchmarks."
