If you prioritize gaming or resource-intensive tasks such as 3D rendering or machine learning, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15, while more expensive, offers superior performance that will handle these demands effectively. On the other hand, if you prefer something more lightweight, portable, and budget-friendly for everyday use like web browsing, document editing, or streaming media, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is a suitable choice with the added benefit of likely longer battery life. Keep in mind, however, that the Lenovo may not perform as well with more demanding software or multitasking compared to the ASUS. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15, with its Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and 300Hz screen refresh rate, offers superior performance for gaming and 3D applications compared to the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, which relies on the weaker integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and a lower 90Hz refresh rate.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is good.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is equipped with a high-performance CPU and GPU, making it excellent for demanding engineering and design tasks, but it's heavier and not as portable as the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro which still offers good processing power but with integrated graphics and a higher resolution screen for sharp visuals, though less suited for graphically-intensive tasks.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro for gaming and AI, and content creation, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen for general use, and engineering and design.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 likely has a screen that offers vivid colors and sharp details since general use and engineering tasks benefit from high resolution and brightness, along with a wide color gamut, but its lower refresh rate detracts from the gaming experience where smooth motion is key. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro probably features a screen with similar high resolution and exceptional color accuracy, making it excellent for tasks like document editing, photo editing, and CAD work where fine detail and color reproduction matter. However, like the ASUS, the Lenovo's display may not have a high refresh rate, meaning gaming and animation could look less fluid compared to laptops designed specifically for those purposes.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
