If performance during tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, or intensive gaming is crucial, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is designed for that, but remember it is bulkier and has shorter battery life. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15" is more budget-friendly, lighter, and offers a longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and portability; however, it's not tailored for heavy-duty tasks that the ASUS excels in. The ASUS also has a higher refresh rate display, which benefits gaming and fast-paced videos, while the Lenovo has a better-quality webcam. Both have non-touch IPS displays with the same resolution, but the ASUS has a backlit RGB keyboard, unlike the single-color backlit keyboard on the Lenovo. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15" compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 is convincing due to its long battery life. The device scores points especially with its large battery and long battery runtimes combined with its low consumption. The CPU and GPU perform in the test as one would expect, and in line with what was familiar from the somewhat smaller 14-inch sister model, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 14."
