If your priority is high performance for tasks like gaming, 3D design, machine learning, or engineering, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is the better choice because it has more powerful processors and graphics capabilities. However, this performance comes at the cost of being heavier and having shorter battery life, making it less portable. On the other hand, the HP 250 G10 is more affordable and lighter with longer battery life, suitable for general use like browsing and standard applications but lacks the high performance of the ASUS for intensive tasks. Choose the ASUS for power and the HP for cost savings and mobility. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the HP 250 G10 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you prioritize a clear and vibrant display for everyday tasks such as browsing and watching videos, the ASUS with its higher resolution and brighter screen outshines the HP. For engineering and design work where color accuracy is crucial, the ASUS’s adherence to professional color standards gives it an edge over the HP, which lacks this precision. However, for immersive gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS falls short due to its lower refresh rate, which is critical for fluid motion, compared to what dedicated gaming laptops offer.

"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The HP 250 G10 is a decent budget device that surprises us with its high CPU frequencies under load. Still, our configuration has a Core i5-1335U which doesn’t require significant cooling, if choose a 28W P-series processor, maybe the situation with the clocks could be different. If you want to play some casual game after work, a memory in dual-channel is a must because it increases greatly the iGPU performance."
