The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 offers high performance suitable for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering tasks with a more powerful processor and GPU, but it comes at a higher price and is less portable due to its larger size and weight. In contrast, the Framework Laptop 13 is more affordable, lightweight, and portable with a better battery life, making it ideal for general use and suitable for carrying around, but it has less power for demanding tasks and a lower storage capacity. Consider the ASUS for performance-demanding applications and the Framework for everyday tasks and easy portability. Give Feedback

For general use, both the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Framework Laptop 13 offer panels with suitable resolution and brightness, ensuring clear, vivid displays for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. During engineering and design work, professionals will appreciate their displays' coverage of color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, which contribute to accurate color reproduction necessary in these fields. However, for Gaming and 3D environments where fast-paced visuals are critical, the lower refresh rates of these laptops' screens aren't ideal, as they can lead to less fluid motion rendering compared to screens designed specifically for gaming with higher refresh rates.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"If you’re thinking of investing in your first Framework, now is the time. The kinks and rough edges have all been smoothed out and this is a very nice machine with a bright, upgradable future. The only reason I can think of to wait is the AMD model, which I’ll be sure to test as soon as I can get my hands on one."
